Job summary

Stoneham Public Schools is seeking a dedicated 1:1 ABA Technician to support students in the Colonial Park RISE Program. This full-time position reports to the Principal, Classroom Teacher, and BCBA, and requires a Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities include implementing ABA-based instructional programs, data collection, collaboration with staff and families, and aligning with IEP goals in classroom and after-school settings. Candidates with ABA experience are preferred.

• Classroom experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related disabilities.
• Implements individualized academic and behavior programs.
• Provides instruction using ABA principles including DTI, task analysis, naturalistic teaching.
• Participates in daily classroom routines and activities.
• Implements student-specific behavior plans to reduce challenging behaviors.
• Collects data, monitors progress, and identifies next steps in programs.

Job Title : 1:1 ABA Technician - Colonial Park (RISE Program)

Reports to : Principal, Classroom Teacher, BCBA

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Classroom experience preferred
• ABA experience preferred

Responsibilities :

• Works directly with students who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other related developmental disabilities
• Implements individualized academic and behavior programs
• Provides instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including discrete trial instruction, task analysis, naturalistic teaching techniques
• Participates in the daily routine of a classroom including but not limited to activities such as circle time, recess, lunch, group activities, and toileting
• Independently implements student-specific behavior plans to decrease challenging behaviors and increase functional behaviors
• Collects ongoing data, summarizes the data to monitor students’ progress, and identifies next steps in program
• Conducts or assists with conducting student skills assessments
• Communicates in written or verbal format with BCBA and classroom teacher about student progress
• Implements direct instruction in the home or other after before/ school environment to increase appropriate social skills, activities of daily living, and social interactions and/or address other IEP goal areas
• Models implementation of academic and behavior programs for parents
• Assist with training staff in implementation of behavior intervention plans and skills building programs
• Gathers, maintains, and prepares students’ materials, data sheets, and program notebooks
• Responsible for any other duties assigned

Terms of Employment- Per union Contract

$32.93/Hour

* Additional compensation will be provided for in home or after/before school assignment
