Job summary

Leominster Public Schools is seeking a dedicated ABA Paraprofessional at Northwest Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. The role supports students with autism and emotional needs in a general education setting, collaborating with teachers and behavior specialists to implement behavior plans and promote inclusive learning.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree or Para Pro certification, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with disabled children.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Para Pro Test preferred.
• Ability to relate to and work with disabled children.
• Exhibit integrity and good moral character and initiative.
• Interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and community.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with self-regulation, social skills, and emotional coping strategies.
• Collect and record data on student progress and behavior as directed by the supervising teacher or behavior specialist.
• Assist with classroom modifications and accommodations to support student success.
• Collaborate with teachers, BCBA, and other staff to ensure a consistent approach to student learning and development.
• Facilitate structured breaks, sensory activities, and coping strategies as needed.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
