Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit seeks a Specialized Instructional Coach (Speech & Language Therapist BCBA) to build capacity among professional staff and lead the implementation of evidence-based practices, including ABA and Verbal Behavior, across designated sites. The role serves as a lead consultant guiding staff through observation, coaching, and data-driven decision making.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Special Education or Communications Sciences and Disorders, PDE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• PDE Speech & Language Pathologist instructional certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in implementation of ABA; verbal behavior experience preferred.
• BCBA certification or in process of completing requirement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead consultant to staff to ensure successful implementation of specialized instructional strategies.
• Develop and implement capacity-building strategies with staff, modeling and providing feedback.
• Provide individualized coaching to improve staff skills in evidence-based practices.
• Use data-driven insights to adjust instructional approaches.
• Provide written summaries and consult notes based on observations and data.
• Conduct program site reviews to assess strengths and needs.
• Facilitate training sessions and professional development on ABA and VB.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and specialists for cohesive learning environments.
• Present at district, state, and national levels on effective approaches.
