Job summary

Shema Kolainu – Hear Our Voices (SKHOV) is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher ABA (EI) to serve children with autism spectrum disorder in Queens & Bronx.

You will design and implement individualized education plans, provide direct instruction in schools, homes, and community settings, and collaborate with families, teachers, and therapists.

Requirements include a Master’s in Special Education and Special Education Certification, plus at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Must hold Special Education Certification.
• At least 2 years of experience with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans for children with ASD and related developmental disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including schools, homes, and community-based locations.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and therapists to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Conduct initial assessments, progress monitoring, and evaluations to inform educational planning and progress.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in autism education and related therapies.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
