Job summary

Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking an ABA Paraprofessional to support students at Chelmsford High School. The role involves working 1:1 or with small groups, primarily with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorders, in both sub-separate and inclusion settings.

Training in ABA will be provided for the right candidate. Requirements include ABA training or willingness to be trained, ASD knowledge, and experience with school procedures and documenting records.

Qualifications

• ABA trained or willing to be trained.
• Knowledge and understanding of ASD disability.
• Knowledge of school classroom procedures, including preparation and maintenance of records.
• Knowledge of special education procedures.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the High School level.
• Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting.
• Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, and socially in the school setting.
• Assist students with toileting as needed.
• Ability to follow directions and implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service providers.
• Ability to collect data consistently.
• Ability to implement procedures of a behavior support plan.
