Job summary

Jobtailor in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an experienced ABA professional to supervise and mentor therapy staff, develop treatment plans, and ensure data-driven interventions.

You will conduct assessments, train RBTs, and collaborate with BCBA supervision to maintain high fidelity, HIPAA compliance, and ethical standards across all client services. You will maintain meticulous documentation and support ongoing audits to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in relevant field.
• Active RBT certification or QASP-S or equivalent mid-level credential.
• Minimum 2 years of ABA experience with ASD.
• Experience supervising or training staff preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ABA and data collection systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor ABA treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Perform functional and skills assessments as assigned.
• Analyze treatment data for effectiveness and fidelity.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to supervising BCBA.
• Supervise and mentor Behavior Technicians (RBTs/BTS).
• Model clinical skills for high-quality implementation.
• Conduct competency assessments and feedback sessions.
• Train staff on behavior strategies, data systems, and documentation standards.
• Provide direct intervention when indicated.
• Support high-acuity or complex cases.
• Assist parent training sessions with BCBA guidance.
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA, payer, and policy compliance.
• Support audit readiness and QA efforts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments, skills assessments, and intake evaluations as assigned
• Review and analyze treatment data to ensure intervention effectiveness and treatment fidelity
• Make data-informed recommendations to supervising BCBA
• Provide direct supervision and mentorship to Behavior Technicians (RBTs/BTS)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, ABA, Special Education, or related field
• Active RBT certification or QASP-S (or equivalent mid-level credential)
• Minimum 2 years of ABA experience working with individuals with ASD
• Experience supervising or training staff
• Strong knowledge of ABA principles, data collection systems, and behavior reduction strategies
• Master’s degree in ABA or related field (in progress acceptable) preferred
• Enrolled in BCBA supervision hours preferred
• Experience conducting assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, etc.) preferred
• Familiarity with CPT 97155 service delivery structure preferred
