Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college credits; or Passed the Para Pro test.
• Experience working with children; in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience with and/or the ability to become CPI trained if necessary.
• Experience working with children with Special Education services preferred.
• Passion to work with school aged children.

Responsibilities

• Support students under the direction of teachers and school staff.
• Assist students in learning across content areas in various group settings.
• Support students in self-regulation and behavior management.
• Provide sensory support and use assistive technology as needed.
• Assist with transitions and communication between students and staff.
• Review student IEPs as needed to ensure needs are met.
• Provide personal care assistance as required.
• Maintain safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classrooms.
• Collaborate with ABA Technicians and other specialists.
• Collect data and monitor student behavior per BIP where applicable.
• Implement ABA teaching techniques throughout the day.
