Job summary

Herzing University seeks a part-time SME to guide the design of an MS in Applied Behavior Analysis and support ABAI accreditation efforts. The role involves crafting timelines, mapping curriculum to ABAI standards, and aligning coursework with BACB licensure requirements.

The SME will review proposed curricula, draft program communications, participate in project meetings, and ensure confidentiality while following Herzing's AI governance policies. This is a contract-based position.

Qualifications

• Hold a doctoral degree in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis.
• Hold current BCBA-D certification in good standing.
• Experience teaching and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with ABAI accreditation process as a program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
• Demonstrated skills in curriculum sequencing, assessment, and licensure alignment.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum.

Responsibilities

• Accreditation timeline: Propose an accreditation timeline with milestones, dependencies, and required hiring needs (including program director and faculty qualifications). The timeline addresses ABAI eligibility and application requirements.
• Standards crosswalk: Review the proposed curriculum and map it to ABAI standards; deliver a crosswalk with courses, outcomes, gap analysis, and revisions.
• Certification and licensure alignment: Document how curriculum and fieldwork align to BACB requirements and state licensure.
• Program communication: Draft internal materials and review external materials for the program.
• Meetings: Attend scheduled project meetings with the AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and the Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Deliverables: Submit deliverables on schedule per SME contract and program structure.
• Confidentiality and AI use: Protect confidential University information; use AI per policy.
• Contract: Adhere to SME contract; additional duties as assigned.
