Job summary

Hawaii State Department of Education Windward District is seeking Behavioral Technician II professionals to implement ABA and BIP with fidelity and support students with ASD and other developmental disabilities.

Applicants must meet basic education requirements and demonstrate experience with data collection, instructional support, and collaboration with licensed professionals. Temporary/long-term positions may be assigned across Windward schools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and one of the listed education options.
• Knowledge of ABA, BIP, and data collection methods.
• Ability to implement instructional programs with fidelity.

Responsibilities

• Implements ABA program and BIP with fidelity using behavior management techniques.
• Establishes relationships with students to support social interaction.
• Prompts safe replacement behaviors and builds communication/problem-solving skills.
• Records and graphs program and behavioral data (A-B-C, frequency, duration, etc.).
• Provides instructional support per IEP/ABA program and oversees instruction.
• Reports observations to licensed behavior analyst and teacher; participates in trainings.
