Job summary

InBloom Autism Services in Connecticut is hiring Behavior Therapists (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join a diverse team. You will provide 1:1 therapy, collect data, and collaborate with BCBAs to implement top-tier behavior programs in centers, homes or schools.

New BT role offers paid on-the-job training toward RBT certification with support, and opportunities for career growth with the RBT Rise program.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and helping others.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must meet all BACB eligibility requirements to obtain RBT certification.
• Ability to pass the required RBT certification exam within the training period.
• Must obtain and maintain required RBT certification through the BACB.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct Client Care: Provide one-on-one therapy to clients in centers, homes or schools.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) designed by BCBAs to address behavioral goals.
• Data Collection: Accurately record data on client behaviors during therapy sessions.
• Progress Monitoring: Track client progress with supervising BCBAs and adjust plans.
• Behavior Reduction Techniques: Apply approved techniques per BIP.
• Skill Acquisition: Help clients develop functional communication and social skills.
• Parent/Caregiver Training: Coach families on therapy techniques at home.
• Professionalism: Follow ethical guidelines and protect client confidentiality.
• Documentation: Complete progress reports and session notes.
• Communication: Maintain open lines with BCBAs and families.
