Job summary

Acorn Health in Michigan is seeking Behavior Technicians (BTs) to deliver high-quality, one-to-one ABA interventions under BCBA supervision. You will work with children on the autism spectrum across center, home, school sites as needed, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience with children, a relevant degree or pursuing one, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience working with children preferred (caregiver, paraprofessional, daycare, etc)
• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, teaching, or related field preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check
• Should enjoy working on an interdisciplinary team and collaborating with others
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for helping others

Responsibilities

• Complete training to provide therapy (state requirements vary)
• Deliver 1:1 direct ABA treatment to clients to increase skills and reduce problem behaviors
• Work closely with supervising BCBA and team to ensure high-quality service
• Support parent and caregiver training as directed by BCBA
• Collect data and document client records to monitor progress
• Communicate with parents and supervisors to inform treatment plans
• Provide services in center, home, school, or other locations as indicated
• Schedule may include driving between clients
