Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking an entry-level Behavior Technician to support children with autism and developmental disabilities. You will work one-on-one and in small groups to build communication, social, and daily living skills using ABA methods.

Responsibilities include direct client care, data collection on behavior and progress, and collaboration with supervisors and parents. Training is provided, with opportunities for professional development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year experience with children or exposure to working with children preferred.
• Comfortable working with children or individuals with special needs.
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• Must complete 40-hour training for certification.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability and punctuality.
• Must pass a background check.
• Provide direct care following behavior plans and protocols.
• Collect behavior data and complete daily notes.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to clients one-on-one and in group settings per behavior plans.
• Collect behavior and skill data using tablets and complete session notes.
• Communicate with coworkers, supervisors and parents; participate in staff meetings and trainings.
