MedCare Pediatric in Houston, TX is seeking an entry-level Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children to build communication, social, and daily living skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA).

The role requires a High School Diploma, comfort with children or those with special needs, and a commitment to completing a 40-hour training for certification. You will collect data, follow behavior plans, and collaborate with families and staff in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience and/or exposure to working with children
• Comfortable working with children or individuals with special needs
• Ability and commitment to complete a 40-hour training course with us to obtain certification
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Maintain a highly professional, positive attitude and demonstrate reliability and punctuality
• Must pass a background check
• Provide direct care to clients in both one-on-one and group settings, following behavior reduction plans and protocols
• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data using company-issued tablets and complete daily session notes
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and parents while attending staff meetings and trainings
