Job summary

Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to coordinate services for individuals with IDD, autism, and dual diagnosis in crisis respite and crisis intervention programs. The role involves crisis response, data collection, and teaching ABA-based skills to clients and families.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s in social work or psychology or an active RBT certification, with 1+ year in the mental health/IDD field preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field or RBT certification.
• Experience with mental illness or IDD preferred; 1+ year in field preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and PMAB certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and train ABA techniques (shaping, prompting, fading, chaining, errorless learning).
• Train parents and staff in ABA techniques across settings.
• Complete preliminary functional analyses and collect/graph data.
• Monitor and document consumer activities and progress.
• Communicate progress to treatment team and participate in planning.
• Comply with safety and health regulations; align with agency mission.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
