Job summary

Community Autism Services (CAS) is seeking a Home & Community Behavior Technician to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy to children in natural settings, under BCBA supervision. The role spans home, school, and community environments with a focus on skill development and behavior reduction.

The position offers paid onboarding, ongoing supervision, and opportunities for advancement within CAS’s growth pathways, with a weekday full-time schedule and local caseloads.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to actively engage in child-centered play and therapeutic activities.
  • Ability to travel within assigned service region.
  • No prior ABA experience required – we train you.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy sessions under BCBA supervision.
  • Implement treatment plans in home, school, and community settings.
  • Use play-based and individualized strategies to engage children.
  • Collect accurate session data and progress notes.
  • Apply feedback and coaching to strengthen clinical skills.

Role Overview

As a Home & Community Behavior Technician,you'lldeliver 1:1 ABA therapy to children in natural settings, including homes, schools, and community environments.You'llwork under BCBA supervision to support skill development, behavior reduction, and meaningful progress-while adapting to different settings throughout your day.

This role is ideal for individuals who value variety, independence, and building strong relationships with families and teams.

How Success Is Measured

Pay Range
  • Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $25.00/hour (based on education and experience)
Additional factors that may increase starting pay include:
  • Prior experience working in ABA or related behavioral health settings
  • Higher levels of education or relevant coursework
  • Fluency inadditionallanguages that support the families we serve
  • Advanced certifications or specialized training (e.g., RBT certification)
Qualifications & Essential Job Functions
  • Minimum age of 18
  • High School diploma or GEDrequired
  • Ability to actively engage in child-centered play and therapeutic activities
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including:
  1. Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
  2. Bending, kneeling, squatting, and transitioning between activities and locations
  3. Responding appropriately to challenging behaviors, which may include aggression, elopement, or self-injurious behaviors
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel consistently within your assigned service region
  • Valid driver's license and punctual attendance
  • Comfort working across multiple settings (home, school, community)
  • No prior ABA experiencerequired- we train you

  • Special education, psychology, sociology, or related studies
  • Mental health or human services roles
  • Camp counselor, volunteer, or youth program experience
