Job summary

Odyssey Charter Schools in Altadena, CA is seeking a part-time Special Education- BII Associate to support students with IEPs. Under supervision of the Assistant Principal and BCBA, you will implement ABA-based interventions, monitor behavior, and support academic and social growth.

The role involves 1:1 support, data collection, and collaboration with the Inclusion Specialist to implement lesson plans and behavior plans in a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or coursework in ABA, child development, special education or psychology.
• Prior experience with children with special needs preferred.
• Experience delivering ABA-based interventions in school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils
• Provide academic assistance and support for individual students inside and outside the classroom
• Monitor student behavior and use approved behavior management techniques
• Administer one-on-one ABA-based intensive behavior interventions
• Implement documented therapy plans for behavior intervention
• Support in monitoring students during recess, lunch, drills, assemblies
• Follow directives from the Director of Special Education for IEPs and accommodations
• Maintain data and daily documentation of the program
