Job summary

Joyson Safety Systems in Auburn Hills, Michigan seeks a Specialist, Product AB to work with the Airbag Application Engineering team within Validation to verify design requirements.

You will lead tested part reviews, route validation documents, audit KPI trackers, and coordinate environmental and third-party testing. This role emphasizes collaboration, ethics and compliance, and hands-on engineering in a global safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Advanced analytical and mathematical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Proficient with computer design software including AutoCAD.
• Experience with project management.
• Ability to translate design concepts into physical objects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering (preferred) or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead tested part review activities.
• Route validation related documents for approval.
• Audit/Maintain Validation KPI tracker.
• Submit parts to the lab for testing.
• Support DV/PV testing along with any related delta iterations.
• Support design review requirements and change management activities.
• Coordinate environmental testing and third-party laboratory testing.
• Generate internal validation reports.
• Issue PO’s to 3rd party vendors to complete validation testing.
