Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in public sector law.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage an active caseload and meet deadlines.
• Interest in civil litigation, including discovery, motions and briefs, negotiations, and oral arguments.
• Ability to work electronically and use case management tools.
• Experience working with diverse populations and backgrounds.
• Three years’ civil litigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent DLI before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and superior courts in industrial insurance cases.
• Handle discovery, motions, and briefs; conduct direct and cross-examinations.
• Participate in hearings and trials, including jury trials.
• Engage in settlements and negotiations; advise on comprehensive litigation strategies.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys while managing individual caseloads.
