Job summary

Eaton RESA is seeking an Augmentative and Alternative Communication Consultant to coach school teams on AAC implementation and language development. You will work with SLPs, teachers and families to identify effective communication tools and provide professional learning.

You will develop resources, manage a lending library, and partner with districts and vendors to ensure devices and apps meet student needs across multiple schools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field required.
• Michigan Licensure required for SLPs; CCC optional.
• Minimum 3 years implementing AAC with complex needs.
• Understanding of language development and communication differences.
• Knowledge of SETT process and AAC strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and coaching to multidisciplinary teams on AAC tools.
• Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, admins and families.
• Support ongoing review and assessment of communication skills.
• Catalog and share AAC resources and training materials.
• Maintain lending library of devices and apps.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and equipment.
