Zusammenfassung

Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is seeking an Assistive Technology & AAC Specialist (Anticipated) to provide evaluations, consultations, and training to support students with disabilities in achieving IEP goals and accessing literacy and curriculum materials.

The role requires NYS Special Education or Speech-Language Pathologist credentials, collaboration with SLPs, OTs/PTs, and teachers, and a strong background in AAC device trials, hardware adaptations, and accessible digital literacy tools.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold and maintain at least one NYS certification or license.
• Experience with AAC devices and literacy supports is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Aufgaben

• Conduct comprehensive AT and AAC evaluations across domains.
• Program and support AAC devices and apps; coordinate trials.
• Provide training and technical coaching to staff and families.
