Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking an Airframe Design Engineer to join the Engineering department in Mobile, AL.

The role focuses on development, justification and approval of design solutions for aircraft primary and secondary structures, working across shop floor interfaces with design offices and production teams. The position involves handling metallic and composite airframe structures, addressing deviations and concessions, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions to keep production

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in aerospace or related field or 10 years of related work experience.
6+ years of progressive experience in aircraft structure design engineering.
Advanced knowledge of metallic/composite aerospace structures and aircraft systems.
Ability to work across traditional boundaries and travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Responsible for creation/approval of technical solutions including justification reports for repairs and reworks.
Analyze all aircraft systems and structures; conduct trouble-shooting.
Represent design offices and interfaces between design and manufacturing.
Support FAL US from delivery to ferry flight and customer presentations.
