Collaboredge Inc. seeks a highly experienced Facilitator for a hybrid role in the DMV area. This position is limited to local candidates and will be for 30 hours per week.

The facilitator will plan, conduct, and manage productive meetings, set agendas, guide discussions, and ensure stakeholder engagement. Strong communication and public-sector experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of meeting facilitation in the public sector.
  • Extensive experience consulting for governmental entities or related field.
  • Experience designing public town-hall type meetings and policy convenings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in state or local government, preferably within the District of Columbia.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and manage meetings to be productive and focused.
  • Set agendas, guide discussions, and ensure all items are covered.
  • Summarize decisions and action items; distribute minutes promptly.
  • Coordinate with organizers; prepare materials and distribute pre-meeting info.
  • Follow up on action items and track progress; gather feedback to improve facilitation.

Short Description:

A006 - Facilitator
**Hybrid role -- candidates local to DMV area only**
**This position will be for 30 hours/week**

Complete Description:

The highly experienced Facilitator is responsible for planning, conducting, and managing

meetings to ensure that they are productive and focused.

The role involves setting

agendas, guiding discussions, and ensuring that all participants are engaged and that

objectives are met.

This role requires a deep understanding of business principles, coupled

with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

Preparation:
  • a. Coordinate with meeting organizers to understand objectives and prepare an agenda.
  • b. Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available and functional.
  • c. Distribute agendas and pre-meeting materials to participants in advance.
Meeting Facilitation:
  • d. Serve as the master of ceremonies
  • e. Guide discussions to keep the meeting on track and ensure that all agenda items are covered.
  • f. Encourage participation from all attendees and manage group dynamics.
  • g. Address conflicts and ensure that all viewpoints are heard and considered.
Follow-Up:
  • h. Summarize key discussion points, decisions, and action items.
  • i. Distribute meeting minutes or summaries to participants promptly.
  • j. Track progress on action items and follow up as needed.
Evaluation:
  • k. Gather feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of the meeting.
  • l. Continuously improve facilitation techniques based on feedback and experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (Masters or higher preferred)

Qualifications:

  • 2. Vast experience providing consulting services to governmental entities or field of specialization.
  • 3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • 4. Experience designing public “town-hall” type meetings and other convenings on public policy issues
  • 5. Experience working with diverse audiences
  • 6. Compelling and competent public speaker
  • 7. Strong conflict resolution skills
  • 8. Experience in state or local government, preferably within the District of Columbia government.
