Job summary

Crutchfield in Charlottesville is seeking an experienced AV Technician to install and configure audiovisual equipment in homes and commercial settings. You will help clients achieve a seamless, immersive experience with TVs, projectors, sound systems, and smart home devices.

This full‑time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional overtime. Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $23.75 per hour plus monthly incentives, and a clear path for advancement along with a

Qualifications

• Experience installing home A/V products
• Eagerness to build technical knowledge and develop new skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
• Ability to identify problems and resolve challenges
• Ability to use computer and necessary software
• Ability to use hand tools
• Valid Driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• CEDIA, AVIXA, Control 4 and Crestron certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Install and configure audiovisual equipment in homes and commercial settings
• Perform cable management and routing for a clean appearance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with A/V systems
• Collaborate with clients to understand installation needs and provide solutions
• Train clients on proper use and maintenance of their systems
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
