Crutchfield in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an A/V Technician Apprentice to install and configure audiovisual equipment in homes and commercial settings, delivering immersive experiences for clients.

This paid apprenticeship includes hands-on training with experienced A/V technicians, typically lasting 6–12 months, with opportunities to advance to Installer Levels and into Residential System Technician roles after completion.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in installing home A/V products
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with A/V systems

Responsibilities

• Assist with installs and configuration of audiovisual equipment (TVs, projectors, sound systems, smart home devices)
• Assist with cable management for a clean appearance
• Learn to troubleshoot and resolve A/V system issues
• Collaborate with clients to understand installation needs and provide solutions
• Train clients on use and maintenance of systems
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies
