Job summary

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking an Audio/Visual Systems Engineer to support the VTTC at Nellis, NV, delivering enterprise A/V infrastructure for DoD environments. You will work on integration efforts for the JSE team and ensure high-availability for briefings and operations.

The ideal candidate has solid A/V systems experience, Dante-enabled device work, and familiarity with Crestron/Extron/QSC; DoD cybersecurity and secure networks knowledge is essential. U.S.

Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Experience or certification in Evertz environments, MMA10G architectures.
  • Must meet DoD 8140 baseline IA Technical qualifications or higher.
  • Familiar with signal routing and timing in mixed digital environments.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and deploying Dante-enabled devices.
  • Knowledge of secure hardware integration in compartmentalized networks and SCIF environments.
  • Active Top Secret clearance within last 24 months; ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI.
  • US Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of A/V systems including DSPs, microphones, speakers, LED walls and control platforms (Crestron, Extron, QSC).
  • Perform end-to-end signal flow diagnostics and reduce downtime.
  • Support live events and briefings with high-visibility requirements.
  • Maintain A/V-over-IP deployments (Evertz, Dante) across multicast/VLAN networks.
  • Use basic networking tools for remote diagnostics and control.
  • Communicate complex issues clearly to users and leadership.
  • Maintain diagrams, configurations and asset inventories.
  • Follow DoD cybersecurity information assurance policies.
