Job Title:

A Tech (Master Technician) for our new Egg Harbor, NJ location

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.

We are looking for a Master Technician (A Tech) who can work independently while also collaborating with peers. We have a full-service facility, and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas general service technician, you’ll be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance services, including:

• Performing a thorough visual safety and courtesy inspection.
• Identifying mechanical problems visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
• Performing tests on specific parts and systems to determine whether they are operating properly.
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and motors.
• Welding knowledge.
• Test driving vehicles to confirm that repairs have been made properly.
• Leading a shop to success.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with related computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely manner.
• Ability to read service manuals, repair manuals, and work orders.
• Valid driver’s license.
