Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking an A&T Technician III for the 2nd shift at our Buffalo, NY location. You will report to the Assembly and Test Supervisor and perform precision assembly and a range of test operations on high-precision systems.

This onsite role requires interpreting drawings, following instructions, and maintaining documentation of performance results. The position emphasizes mechanical diagnostics, use of hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment, and strict adherence to EHS

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow English instructions.
• At least 3 years related experience in a technical field.
• Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical components and test failures.
• Set up and perform operational tests of finished products using hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly on complex systems.
• Assemble products using torque wrenches, fixtures, gages and tools.
• Conduct test operations to validate product acceptance.
• Work from drawings and instructions and document performance results.
• Communicate test failures and support rework as needed.
• Ensure units are tested per current revision and notify supervisor of abnormalities.
• Use measuring equipment to verify conformance with test requirements.
• Understand department production goals and report deviations.

Our team in Industrial Group is looking for anA&T Technician III to join them. You will report to the Assembly and Test Supervisor and will have an onsite, 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered this role,here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• At least 3 years related experience in a related technical field.
• Experience with diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical components and test failures.
• Set up and perform operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands. This activity requires the use of hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment, fixtures and tools to obtain desired performance results.
• Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Use and maintain the ERP system to record product builds, SN’s, and material use.
• This role requires strict adherence to EHS and safety procedures.

As an A&T Technician III, you will:

• Perform precision assembly on complex systems that support an array applications.
• Assemble products utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages and other devices. Required to work from assembly instructions, both written and oral.
• Perform various test operations using hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical to validate product acceptance.
• Work from drawings, work instructions, parts lists or other instruction and provide detailed written communication defining performance results and/or situational circumstances.
• Communicate common test failures and support reworking products as necessary.
• Ensure that units are set up and tested in conformance with current revision letters and brings to the Supervisor’s attention any condition that is abnormal.
• Utilize mechanical or electronic measuring equipment and perform tests to validate the acceptance of the model to current test requirements.
• Understand the production goals of the department and communicate deviations as appropriate.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $30.00–$36.00 Hourly
