Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services seeks an Accounts Receivable Process Analyst to manage and analyze financial transactions within our billing and collections team. You will assess aging, identify payor issues, and ensure timely adjudication of claims.

The role emphasizes problem solving, strong communication, and attention to detail, with exposure to tools like Excel and home health billing platforms. You\'ll collaborate with Billing Specialists and Operations to improve cash flow and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare billing, private insurance, and/or federally funded programs.
• Experience reading remits and denial reasons; familiarity with State Billing Portals preferred.
• Experience filing claim appeals to maximize reimbursement.
• Strong communication skills (email/phone) and Excel proficiency.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze aging for assigned operations and follow up on all outstanding accounts with proper coding and comments.
• Identify payor issues and report out.
• Complete follow up to ensure full adjudication of claims.
• Identify adjustments throughout the month for assigned operations.
• Timely follow up on insurance denials, exceptions, or exclusions.
• Maintain open communication with Billing Specialist, Cash Application Analyst, and Operations.
• Send cash transfer and check requests to the cash team.
• Read and interpret insurance explanation of benefits.
• Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and providers.
• Work in Waystar to identify denials and timely resolution.
• Timely follow up to meet filing limits.
• Perform general accounts receivable functions regarding revenue billing and cash processes.
