Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Accounts Analyst to support the denials follow-up team. The role emphasizes accurate cash posting, billing, and review of patient accounts to ensure timely reimbursement.

Ideal candidates have a strong patient accounts background and experience in denial follow up, with the ability to analyze trends and assist with operational efficiency across the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in patient accounts or denials follow-up.
• Strong background in AR, billing processes and cash posting.
• Ability to analyze payment trends and reconcile accounts.
• Experience supporting internal departments on AR matters.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes payment trends in Accounts Receivable and denials.
• Monitors reimbursements from third party carriers per contracts.
• Analyzes, develops and prepares AR/denials reports for leadership.
• Participates in regular payor and department meetings; identifies discrepancy patterns.
• Provides guidance and training to team members to aid revenue management.
