Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Accounts Analyst to support the denials follow-up team. The role focuses on ensuring accurate billing, cash posting, and reconciliation of patient accounts, with collaboration across departments to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience in patient accounts and a strong understanding of the revenue cycle to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have a strong background in patient accounts, preferably denial follow up.
• 2-5 years of experience in patient accounts or related AR roles.
• Experience with billing processes and account reconciliation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payment trends in AR and denials to work with payors and providers.
• Monitor reimbursements from third party carriers per contracts and regulations.
• Prepare reports for leadership to identify trends and support revenue management decisions.
• Participate in meetings with payor reps and departments to study data and propose solutions.
• Provide informal guidance and training to team members to help achieve objectives.
