Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) in Southern California is seeking an A&P Mechanic to support test operations at Gray Butte or El Mirage. You will service, modify, and configure aircraft and ground control stations for customer test programs.

Responsibilities include preflight, launch and recovery, postflight data collection, and sustaining fleets such as MQ-9 and related systems, while ensuring safety and compliance with government orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license desired.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance is required.
• Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft and ground support equipment for test ops.
• Support test teams for test and development efforts.
• Perform work on airframe and powerplant in support of test operations.
• Troubleshoot aircraft and engine systems to identify problems and solutions.
• Review records to ensure documentation complies with procedures.
• Maintain a productive and safe work environment.
