Job summary

Amentum seeks certificated Airframe & Powerplant technicians to inspect and repair aircraft, engines, components, and systems. You may work off site at outlying field locations, or as a base mechanic, with travel to fire bases throughout California.

Qualified candidates hold FAA A&P certificates, a valid California Class-C driver’s license, and have 5 years aerospace industry experience as an A&P Technician, including 2 years on C-130 aircraft. Some positions involve travel and field work.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificates required and a valid CA Class-C driver’s license.
• Five (5) years aerospace industry experience as a certificated A&P Technician.
• Two (2) years experience working on C-130 aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair aircraft, engines, components and systems as assigned.
• Assess damage, condition, and method of repair.
• Work off site at outlying field locations when required.
• Potential base mechanic assignments and travel to California fire bases.
