Job summary

Polycorp Ltd, a San Jose-based manufacturer, is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team. You will process vendor invoices, manage check runs, and handle inquiries while supporting month-end close and tax filings.

You will also assist with audit preparation and ensure accurate reconciliations. A detail-oriented, ethical candidate with 1–3 years of accounting experience will thrive in our collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; post-secondary accounting education beneficial.
• 1–3 years accounting experience, general accounting and bookkeeping.
• Understanding of A/P, reconciliations and banking transactions.
• Strong computer aptitude, including Excel and accounting software.
• High attention to detail and accuracy; high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter vendor invoices and manage regular check runs.
• Field inquiries from vendors and support year-end close tasks.
• Assist with Sales tax filings/reporting and reconciliations.
• Match invoicing to Good Received Not Invoiced and resolve issues with purchasing.
• Support audit preparation and year-end close as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

• Process and enter vendor invoices
• Manage regular check runs
• Fielding and responding to vendor inquiries
• Month end tasks including reconciling A/P, Other Expenses, Other Liabilities
• Assist with Sales tax Filings/Reporting
• Match invoicing to Good Received Not Invoiced
• Work with purchasing to resolve matching issues

Audit/Year End Close

• Assist with year and audit preparation and response as needed

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• High school diploma; post-secondary accounting education beneficial
• 1 - 3 years accounting experience, general accounting/ Bookkeeping
• Understanding of general accounting including accounts payable, account reconciliations and banking transactions
• Strong computer aptitude, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• High ethical and confidentiality standards
