What Will You Be Doing?

The aircraft mechanic is responsible for performing various maintenance functions on company aircraft in accordance with company policies, procedures and federal aviation regulations.

Essential Functions

• Perform and assist approved work within the scheduled shift
• Ensure completeness of all assigned work documents and records
• Seek on‑job training to maintain qualification standards
• Authority to perform engine run and aircraft taxi as authorized by qualification
• Operate various ground support equipment and passenger vehicles within the airport operations movement area
• Coordinate all activities with lead mechanic or supervisor
• Research pertinent information and material for scheduled work
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas and uphold a “clean as you go” ethic
• Ensure housekeeping standards and remove all tools from aircraft; maintain tool control accountability
• Immediately report lost or found tools to management
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Input necessary data and enter completed work into maintenance tracking software
• Comply with MEL/CDL/NEF Program procedures; monitor aircraft records such as logbooks and engineering documents
• Make FMIS entries as required
• Maintain familiarity with training requirements per GMM 100 and keep training current
• Follow approved published procedures; avoid deviation without authorization
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required by qualification area (e.g., interior crew)

Qualifications

• FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
• Valid motor vehicle driver’s license
• Two years experience on A320 series or similar large aircraft performing maintenance checks, engine changes, gear changes, structural repairs, flight control rigging, and component maintenance
• Obtain taxi and run‑up qualification on all aircraft types within six months of assignment

Interior Crew Mechanic – Qualification

• FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe rating
• Two years experience on A320 series or similar large aircraft performing maintenance checks, engine changes, gear replacement, structural repairs, flight control rigging, and component maintenance
• Obtain taxi and run‑up qualification within six months of assignment
• Complete differences training
• Demonstrate company core values in communication and interactions with personnel
• Plan, organize, and administer workloads to subordinates (if applicable)
• Perform strenuous physical work: lift >100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently

Compensation

Base Rate: $29.39 /hr, increases to $29.90 /hr after 90 days.

Additional Premiums:

• $1.20 for A License, $1.20 for P License
• $1.00 for Run/Taxi qualification after training
• $1.00 for Graveyard Shift
• $0.75 for 3 years Airbus experience with Generation Family certified or after training
• $0.75 for 3 years Airbus experience with Troubleshooting certified or after training
