You will document work in maintenance records, grow your skills with on‑the‑job training, and may perform interior crew tasks. This position requires FAA certification and relevant A320 experience.

Qualifications

  • FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Two years of experience performing maintenance on A320 series or large similar aircraft.
  • Ability to obtain/hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform A&P maintenance on Airbus A320-series aircraft per FAA regs and Frontier procedures.
  • Document inspections, repairs, and components in required maintenance records.
  • Maintain housekeeping, FOD awareness, and tool control for safety.
  • Operate GSE and aircraft taxi when trained and authorized.
  • Complete required maintenance training and build qualifications through on‑the‑job learning.
  • Interior crew work including removal/reinstall of aircraft interiors as needed.

Shift: Varies based on business needs. Schedules are awarded through a union shift bid process by seniority. Recruiters and hiring leaders will review shift details during the pre-screen and interview process.

As an A&P Aircraft Mechanic in Phoenix, AZ, you’ll maintain our Airbus A320 fleet to Frontier procedures and FAA standards, keeping aircraft safe, compliant, and departure-ready.

Compensation
  • Base pay: $29.39/hour ( increases to $29.90/hour after 90 days)
Additional hourly premiums (as applicable):
  • $1.20/hr — Airframe (A) license
  • $1.00/hr — Graveyard shift differential
  • $0.75/hr — 3+ years Airbus experience + General Familiarization certified (or after training)
  • $0.75/hr — 3+ years Airbus experience + Troubleshooting certified (or after training)

Premiums may be stackable depending on qualifications and shift.

Whatyou’lldo at Frontier Airlines:
  • Perform A&P aircraft maintenance on Airbus A320-series or similar transport-category aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations (FARs) and Frontier procedures.
  • Document inspections, repairs, and component work in required aircraft maintenance records, logbooks, work cards, and maintenance tracking systems (including MEL/CDL/NEF and FMIS entries as required).
  • Maintain strong housekeeping, FOD awareness, and positive tool control to ensure safety and operational readiness.
  • Operate GSE, airport-qualified vehicles, and perform engine runs / aircraft taxi when trained and authorized.
  • Complete required maintenance training and build qualifications through structured on-the-job learning.
  • (Interior Crew) Remove, repair, and reinstall aircraft interiors (seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, ceilings, flooring).
Whatyou’ll bring to Frontier Airlines:
  • FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Must have the ability to acquire, hold, and execute the use of a valid motor vehicle driver's license
  • Requires two (2) years of experience performing maintenance in the following areas on A320 series or large similar type aircraft: maintenance checks, engine changes, landing gear changes, structural repairs, flight control rigging, component maintenance on A320 series aircraft or on larger similar type aircraft or successful completion of accredited A&P mechanic training course.
  • When directed by management, must obtain taxi and run-up qualification on all aircraft types within six months of assignment in Line Maintenance
Interior Crew Mechanic (Airframe): Additional Qualifications
  • FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe rating
  • Requires two (2) years of experience performing maintenance in one or more of the following areas on A320 series or large similar type aircraft: maintenance checks, engine changes, landing gear replacement, structural repairs, flight control rigging, component maintenance on A320 series aircraft or on large similar type aircraft or successful completion of accredited A&P mechanic training course
  • When directed by management, must obtain taxi and run-up qualification on all aircraft types within six months of assignment in Line Maintenance
  • Must have ability to complete differences training

  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, and administrate workloads to subordinates
  • Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving objects more than 100 lbs. occasionally, and more than 50 lbs. frequently

Essential Functions
  • Perform and assist approved work by their leads within the scheduled shift
  • Ensure completeness of all assigned work documents and records
  • Seek on-the-job training during work shift to ensure proper qualification standards are met and maintained
  • Has the authority to perform engine run and aircraft taxi as authorized by Frontier Airlines qualification
  • Has the authority to operate various ground support equipment (GSE) and passenger vehicles limited to airport operations movement area with a current and valid U.S. state issued motor vehicle driver's license, a Frontier Airlines driving endorsement, an airport qualification and a signed movement area limitation Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) on file
  • Has the authority to operate various passenger vehicles on public roads and offsite facilities outside of airport operations area with a valid U.S. state issued motor vehicle driver's license in the operator's possession for 3 years, a Frontier Airlines
