Job summary

Frontier Airlines, Inc. is seeking an aircraft maintenance technician specializing in composites and structural repairs.

You will perform composite repairs, sheets metal work, and weight/balance calculations on Frontier’s aircraft, primarily A320 family, in a hands‑on role that supports a safe, reliable operation. Expect to work from engineered drawings, follow strict procedures, complete accurate documentation, and maintain training.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience on A320 series or similar aircraft or completion of accredited A&P Mechanic training.
• FAA Certificated Airframe License.
• 2 years of structural sheet metal overhaul and repair experience.
• 1 year of work experience in composites, prepreg repairs, weight and balance calculations, painting.
• When directed by management, must obtain taxi and run‑up qualification on all aircraft types within six months.

What Will You Be Doing?

Perform Composite aircraft maintenance activities according to established policies and procedures as directed by a lead mechanic or supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the completion and oversight of composite and structural sheet metal overhaul and repair of component level maintenance.
• Perform structural repairs and modifications to aircraft and aircraft structural components using SRM or Engineering approved source documents.
• Perform composites, wet lay‑ups, metal‑to‑metal hot bond, core replacement, prepreg repairs, weight and balance calculations.
• Perform all assigned work in accordance with Frontier Airlines work cards and applicable aircraft, component, or engine maintenance manuals, SRM, or Frontier-generated engineering documents.
• Follow written procedures for support shops.
• Always follow (never deviate from) approved published procedures unless proper deviation is authorized.
• Complete all associated documentation and prepare for records filing.
• Make FMIS entries as required.
• Keep current on all revisions to company manuals.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas at all times. Ensure that all maintenance areas meet good "housekeeping" standards. Ensure a "clean as you go" job ethic is adhered to.
• Ensure that all tools (both personal and company owned) are removed from the aircraft, aircraft engines, appliances, and components. Always maintain positive tool control accountability. Immediately report lost and/or found tools to management.
• Maintain familiarization with the training requirements necessary as defined in the GMM 100: Maintenance Training Program and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of this position.

• Keep management informed concerning issues that may affect work performance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing maintenance in one or more of the following areas: maintenance checks, engine changes, gear changes, structural repairs, flight control rigging, component maintenance, etc. on A320 series or similar‑type aircraft or successful completion of accredited A&P Mechanic training course.
• FAA Certificated Airframe License.
• 2 years of aircraft or component experience in structural sheet metal, overhaul, and repair.
• 1 year of work experience in composites, wet lay‑ups, metal‑to‑metal hot bond, core replacement, prepreg repairs, weight and balance calculations, painting.
• When directed by management, must obtain taxi and run‑up qualification on all aircraft types within six months.

Work Environment

This position requires the employee to work indoors and outdoors, which will subject them to various weather conditions, including snow, rain, and extreme heat. The employee will also be subject to elevated noise levels.

Physical Effort

Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving objects in excess of 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently.

Base pay: $32.00 per hour

Additional hourly premiums:

• $6.00/hour: Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) licenses
• $1.00/hour: Run/Taxi qualified after training
• $1.00/hour: Graveyard shift differential
