Job summary

AIM in Duluth, GA is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join as instructors. You will deliver FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and provide hands-on training to students preparing for A&P certification.

No teaching experience required; we offer a 5-day paid instructor training program. Full-time, on-site, with flexible schedules and comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision, life insurance, PTO and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • FAA A&P certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Background as an A&P Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic, or AMT.

Responsibilities

  • Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment.
  • Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
  • Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
  • Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment.

About the Role

As an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor), you will deliver FAA Part 147-aligned aviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands-on instruction to students preparing for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs).

Schedule Options
  • Option 1: Monday - Thursday: 6am - 2:30pm, Friday 6am-12pm OR
  • Option 2: Monday - Thursday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Friday half-day (flexible hours) OR
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment
