RAVN Aerospace is headquartered in Ellington Field, Texas, with various operating sites around the country. We offer a wide range of aviation services to assist governments, international organizations, and private sector entities. Our services include Air-to-Air threat replication, Close Air Support, and Test and Evaluation.

We provide on and off-site aircraft operation for a diverse customer base in all areas of the aviation and aerospace industry worldwide. Our fleet includes five Embraer A-27 (Tucano) and ten BAe L-59 (Hawk) aircraft, known for reliability in diverse environmental conditions and capable of carrying various sensors and payloads.

This position is located at our contract site in San Antonio, Texas.

What you get to do:

As an A&P Mechanic in the maintenance department, you will be responsible for maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting of Airframe and Powerplant systems on the A-27 Tucano and BAe Hawk aircraft, reporting to the Maintenance Lead. Your duties will include:

• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Assembling and installing electrical, avionic, mechanical, hydraulic, structural components using hand and power tools.
• Removing and installing aircraft components, testing according to maintenance manuals, troubleshooting aircraft systems.
• Repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures, systems, and components.
• Servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, and modifying aircraft and engines.
• Managing storage and shipment of engines and support equipment, including documentation.
• Referring to technical publications to meet specifications.
• Performing tasks independently.
• Conducting routine inspections and corrective actions for support equipment.
• Operating aerospace ground support equipment.
• Adhering to safety regulations and recording all maintenance actions properly.
• Following all safety procedures established by the company.
• Ensuring proper operation of components and parts.
• Completing all documentation after maintenance work.
• Loading and downloading aircraft weapons systems.
• Commuting to San Antonio, Texas.

Minimum requirements include an A&P License, active US federal security clearance (or ability to obtain one), experience with turboprop and jet aircraft (minimum 4+ years), and a clean driving record. The role may require travel within the US and the ability to stay calm in high-paced environments.

Preferred experience includes working on Tucano and/or Hawk aircraft, PT6 experience, military aviation background, and a valid US Passport.
