We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Avionics Technician Level 2 at our Dayton, OH location. This position reports to the Avionics Department Lead/Avionics Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions and inspections safely, following applicable technical data and manufacturer’s maintenance programs or AAIP, with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate with management and inspection teams to ensure compliance with FAA and internal paperwork, signoffs, and quality standards using the Corridor maintenance program.
- Conduct inspections properly, ensuring all records, reports, and forms are accurately completed before returning aircraft to service.
- Follow standard operating procedures and manufacturer’s specifications when using aircraft maintenance tools and equipment.
- Maintain all maintenance and facility equipment and tools properly.
- Read and understand the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual PPJR496E and related documents.
- Stay current with technical data revisions, including overhaul manuals, service bulletins, and FAA-approved data.
- Handle and preserve all units/parts during work, installation, and storage appropriately.
- Tag and identify all parts and components according to CFR PPJR496E.
- Ensure no defective or unairworthy parts are installed in aircraft or components.
- Document on-the-job training and formal training, providing records to the quality assurance department.
- Maintain currency for all special authorizations required by the repair station.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping policies, use PPE, and protect aircraft interiors and exteriors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- FAA certified Aircraft A&P Mechanic or holding a FAA Repairmen Certificate.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check and FAA drug screening.
- At least 5 years as an A&P or equivalent experience with verifiable avionics OJT training.
- Wire harness fabrication and advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently, operate nav, comm, transponder, and pitot/static test equipment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills.
- Team-oriented, self-driven, safety-conscious, with a positive attitude.
- Goal-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking, with ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
- Proficient in using aircraft mechanics tools and equipment.
- Able to work at heights, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Computer literate; familiarity with Corridor Maintenance Program and MS Office preferred.
