Maintenance Manager & Director of Maintenance

Our fleet consists of modern charter aircraft, operated and maintained by National Jets. JOB PURPOSE

Perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft, engines, and components for our Part 135 air charter operation and Part 145 Repair Station.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Follow all procedures outlined in the NJI Repair Station Manual (RSM), including proper use of forms, tags, and documentation.
  2. Perform maintenance and inspections on aircraft and GSE.
  3. Bring personal tools necessary for mechanic duties, including hearing protection.
  4. Keep supervisors informed about ongoing projects, issues, and setbacks.
  5. Ensure aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition to professional standards.
  6. Research maintenance instructions and parts in manufacturer manuals.
  7. Coordinate with Technical Representatives for troubleshooting and document all work performed daily.
  8. Properly identify and tag all removed aircraft components, securing hardware as required.
  9. Protect aircraft interiors and exteriors during maintenance and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  10. Record on-the-job training activities in training records with the Inspection Department.
  11. Stop unsafe actions immediately.
  12. Perform routine shop tasks for upkeep as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  1. Preferred: Corporate Jet experience (Gulfstream, Learjets, Challenger 604/300, Hawker, Falcon, Cessna Citation, etc.).
  2. Associate or higher degree in aviation or related field, or technical vocational training with hands-on experience.
  3. Minimum five years’ experience in line/hangar maintenance and troubleshooting.
  4. Experience maintaining aircraft GSE.
  5. A & P License required.
  6. High school diploma or GED.
  7. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations.
  8. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving, project management, mechanical skills, and knowledge of computer systems.
  9. Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must obtain requisite security clearance and BCAD security badge as per airport security regulations.

Position Details

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with standard hours Sunday through Saturday in 8-hour shifts. Flexibility to work nonstandard hours and maintain attendance is required.
