Job summary

American Airlines at PHL Airport is seeking an AMT to service aircraft and perform required maintenance, inspections and certifications. The role requires an Airframe and Power Plant license and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather, with potential for extra hours to meet operating needs.

The position emphasizes safety, manual compliance, and effective communication with teams across the maintenance organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Airframe and Power Plant License required.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions.
• Must be willing to work extra hours when operations require.
• Must pass FAA background checks for unescorted access and obtain security badges.

Responsibilities

• Service aircraft and perform maintenance to maintain airworthiness.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance inspections.
• Sign mechanical flight releases and ensure compliance with manuals.
• Connect/remove ground power and perform guideman functions.
• Maintain safety and clean work area; request parts when needed.
