Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is seeking (1) A&P licensed avionics/mechanics to join our team to work on, replace and improve IFE systems on planes for major airlines. This is a direct-hire, full-time role located at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Compensation includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, and more. Role involves line maintenance of Airframe, Powerplant and IFE/Connectivity systems, with shifts including nights.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Airframe & Powerplant License, or a related certificate of equal value is required.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screening (marijuana included).
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be open to most shifts (Night/graveyard included).
• 0–1 year experience in mechanical or electrical technician position preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical mechanics or related avionics experience preferred.
• 1+ years of IFE/avionics experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform and endure extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme weather and confined spaces.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of IFE systems.
• Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling or seat consoles to line replaceable modules.
• Identify necessary repairs to restore functional acceptance.
• Perform maintenance checks on Customer aircraft for various airlines.
• Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.
• Operate airline communications equipment.
• Document testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
• Assist in tracking spare inventory.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
