Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is seeking two A&P licensed mechanics to maintain its In-Flight Entertainment systems on aircraft, stationed at Chicago O'Hare (ORD).

Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of electronic assemblies, with strong emphasis on documentation, safety, and customer coordination. PAC offers full benefits and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Airframe & Powerplant license or equivalent required.
• Must pass background and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willing to work night/graveyard shifts.
• 0–1 year mechanical/electrical tech experience preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical mechanics or related aviation experience preferred.
• 1+ years of IFE or avionics experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme weather and confined spaces.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow English instructions/diagrams.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and alterations to PAC IFE systems on aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and test electronic assemblies and units.
• Identify repairs and replace defective modules and cabling.
• Operate a vehicle on airport property.
• Interface with customers and colleagues.
• Document testing and repairs using computer and barcode tools.
• Assist in tracking spares inventory.
