Job summary

ICON Aircraft Inc. in Tampa seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (A&P) to perform safe, compliant inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and return-to-service work on ICON A5 aircraft.

The role requires FAA Airframe and Powerplant ratings, 3–5 years hands-on maintenance experience, and ability to read maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams; you will coordinate across Engineering, Quality, and Service teams while ensuring safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on aircraft maintenance experience is required.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, service publications, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot aircraft mechanical and electrical systems using appropriate data and test equipment.
• Work independently with limited supervision and coordinate across departments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, component replacement, and approved modifications on ICON A5 aircraft.
• Complete work in accordance with FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, service publications, engineering instructions, and company procedures.
• Troubleshoot airframe, powerplant, mechanical, electrical, and related aircraft systems using appropriate technical data and test equipment.
• Remove, install, rig, adjust, and operationally test aircraft components and assemblies.
• Inspect aircraft and components for discrepancies and coordinate with Engineering or Quality for technical direction.
• Complete work orders, inspection forms, maintenance records, and logbook entries accurately and on time.
• Approve work for return to service within the privileges of the technician’s FAA certificate.
• Communicate aircraft status, parts requirements, schedule risks, and completion estimates to the manager and service team.
