Job summary

Florida Institute of Technology is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and preventive tasks on fleet and customer aircraft. You will taxi/run up aircraft, conduct 50/100 hour and Annual Inspections, and perform major repairs with Form-337 and STC installations.

The role requires an A&P license with IA, FAR knowledge, and the ability to interpret maintenance manuals. You must lift up to 50 lbs and be able to work in hangar environments, potentially nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license with a current Inspection Authorization endorsement.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they relate to aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine repair methods.
• Must possess all tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift, carry, or move aircraft components up to 50 lbs.
• Work is performed in hangar/flight line with variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on fleet and customer aircraft.
• Taxi and run up aircraft.
• Perform 50/100 hour and Annual Inspections.
• Perform major repairs and alterations with Form-337 and STC installation.
• Determine airworthiness of aircraft and components per FARs.
• May work nights, weekends, or on A.O.G. trips.
• Ensure completeness of all work documents and records.
