Job summary

ICON Aircraft seeks an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform safe, compliant maintenance on ICON A5 aircraft at our Tampa, FL facility. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and airframe systems, perform inspections, and ensure work is documented per FAA and company standards.

The role requires a current FAA A&P certificate and 3–5 years in general aviation or light aircraft maintenance, with strong attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• 3–5 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience in general aviation or light aircraft.
• Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 43 and applicable maintenance record requirements.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, component replacement, and approved modifications on assigned aircraft.
• Complete work in accordance with FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, service publications, engineering instructions, and company procedures.
• Troubleshoot airframe, powerplant, mechanical, electrical, and related aircraft systems using appropriate data and test equipment.
• Remove, install, rig, adjust, and test aircraft components and assemblies.
• Inspect aircraft and components for discrepancies and coordinate with Engineering or Quality for direction.
• Complete work orders, inspection forms, maintenance records, and logbook entries accurately and on time.
• Approve work for return to service within FAA certificate privileges and limitations.
• Communicate aircraft status, parts requirements, schedule risks, and completion estimates to the manager and service team.
• Maintain tools, equipment, shop supplies, and calibration status, and follow safety and hazard controls.
