Job summary

FEAM Aero is seeking an A&P Aircraft Mechanic for JFK to perform line maintenance on customer aircraft. You will conduct routine maintenance, perform airworthiness releases, and ensure safety and compliance per FARs and customer manuals.

The role requires a valid FAA A&P license, at least 2 years of line maintenance experience with Boeing 777, and willingness to work on-call, nights, and weekends. Valid driver's license and ability to read/write English are required.

Job Title: A&P Aircraft Mechanic - JFK

Location: Jamaica, NY

Salary: $45/hour and +, DOE

Sign-On Bonus: We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft.
  • Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of approval) returning aircraft to service.
  • Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
  • Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer.
  • Ensure all departing aircraft are safe per FARs and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and that all work performed is properly documented.
  • Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier's maintenance control center as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent line maintenance experience, emphasis on troubleshooting, daily and turn checks, and ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of aircraft maintenance release experience on Boeing 777 (B777) aircraft.
  • Must meet ATA Specification 104 Level III training standards for the Boeing 777, including successful completion of a minimum of 120 hours of classroom instruction and associated practical training, and be qualified to perform maintenance in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work on-call schedule as required.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds, and be aware of working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
  • Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts to include nights and weekends to meet customer demand.

  • Customer-facing skills, ability to work with the flight crew and interact professionally.
  • Independent and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.
