Job summary

FEAM Aero in Anchorage, AK is seeking an A&P Aircraft Mechanic to perform line maintenance on customer aircraft, both on-call and scheduled, ensuring airworthiness and timely return to service.

Candidates must hold an FAA A&P license and have at least 2 years of line maintenance experience, including Boeing 777 release experience; relocation bonus of $2,000 is offered; hourly rate $35-45 and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Minimum two years of recent commercial aircraft line maintenance experience.
  • Minimum two years of aircraft maintenance release experience on Boeing 777 (B777).
  • Must meet ATA Specification 104 Level III training standards for the Boeing 777, with 120 hours of classroom instruction and practical training.

Responsibilities

  • Perform line maintenance on various customers' aircraft (on-call and scheduled).
  • Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases to return aircraft to service.
  • Inspect, service, and maintain aircraft and engines; meet deadlines and performance goals.
  • Troubleshoot systems, disassemble/repair components per approved data.
  • Ensure all work is documented and aircraft are safe per FARs and manuals.
  • Collaborate with maintenance control center as required.

Responsibilities


  • Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft.

  • Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of approval) returning aircraft to service.

  • Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively perform work to meet deadlines and performance goals.

  • Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer.

  • Ensure all departing aircraft are safe per FARs and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and that all work performed is properly documented.

  • Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.

  • Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.


Basic Qualifications


  • Must have a current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.

  • Minimum line maintenance experience requirement of two (2) years of recent commercial aircraft line maintenance experience.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of aircraft maintenance release experience on Boeing 777 (B777) aircraft.

  • Must meet ATA Specification 104 Level III training standards for the Boeing 777, including successful completion of a minimum of 120 hours of classroom instruction and associated practical training, and be qualified to perform maintenance in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.

  • Ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds. Be aware that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposed to loud noises.

  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.

  • Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.

  • Must be able to read and write English.

  • Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.

  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts to include nights and weekends to meet customer demand.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Aircraft line maintenance experience with B747-400, B747-8, and B767-200/300 experience.

  • Avionics experience is a plus.

  • Customer-facing skills, ability to work with the flight crew and interact professionally.

  • Independent and self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.
