Job summary

Total Aerospace Services in Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) to perform inspections, servicing, and repairs on diverse aircraft systems. You will troubleshoot across airframe, engine, and component systems and lead projects under Crew Chief guidance.

The role requires an A&P certificate, good FAA knowledge, and at least 8 years of maintenance experience, preferably on corporate jets.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of applicable FARs and maintenance standards.
• Ability to obtain and retain an AOA badge or meet airport requirements.
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
• Designation as Elliott Aviation Production Inspector required/desired.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with corporate jets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs on aircraft systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and function test across airframe, engine, and component systems.
• Lead aircraft projects under supervision of Crew Chief and Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate documentation per FAA regulations and company procedures.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
