Job summary

AIM, the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Instructors to teach FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and guide students toward A&P certification at our Philadelphia campus. The role emphasizes hands-on hangar and classroom instruction, mentoring future technicians and maintaining safety standards.

Minimal qualifications include a 3+ year aircraft maintenance background and an FAA A&P certificate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
• Experience as an instructor or mentor preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in classroom and hangar environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment.
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
• Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
• Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment.
• Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials.
